Introduction (Back to School Pack)

Every Back to School Pack will contain a school bag with school uniform and PE kit suitable for Primary and Secondary school pupils across Perthshire schools. Please select ALL colours your school will accept. By providing us with a range of options we can utilise all of our stock and provide packs faster and more efficiently. Your colour selections are a preference, and we will provide any colours your school accepts as uniform in order to ensure we can meet the demand of the project.

Items will be a mixture of preloved and brand new items, depending on donation availability. Clothing items donated to us with school logos on them may be included in packs but are not standard items.

Where possible we will include vouchers for footwear. Please note: not everyone will receive all items as this is based on donation availability at the time your pack is made up.

This form takes roughly 10 minutes to complete and you’ll need to know clothing size, gender expression, shoe size, uniform colours and sensory needs for the young person you are applying for/on behalf of.

We are a small charity, run mostly by volunteers and we are excited to be doubling our project capacity in 2025! We will be aiming to support 1,000 young people across our Back to School and Nursery Pack on a first come, first served basis. Applications will be open until we have reached our capacity or until 4th August, whichever comes first.

Receiving Your Pack(s)

If you are able to collect your pack from a central Perth location, one of our pop-up events or from Alyth please do commit to doing so, this way our delivery availability can go to families who cannot drive or live outside Perth/Alyth.

If you are walking we suggest opting for bags to make travelling easier. Please note if you are collecting multiple applications you will need multiple people to collect them. Banana boxes fit in car boots. Small cars, with nothing in the back seats can fit roughly 6 packs at once.
Please note: we will aim to have all packs delivered by 5th August but our turnaround time will be between 3-5 weeks due to volume of deliveries. If you can collect please do to support those in the community who are unable to collect their packs.

Where is a safe place to leave your pack?*
We will use this if you are not in at the time of delivery. Please note, your safe place needs to be weather proof and ideally secure or our team may not be able to leave your pack. We will only attempt delivery once, if we cannot leave your pack due to your safe space being wet, locked or accessible by neighbours or passers-by, you will need to collect your pack from us at 21 High Street, Perth.

PKC school uniform grant*
Are you in receiving the school uniform clothing grant from PKC Welfare Rights Team? Please note this will not impact your eligibility for this project. Information about the school uniform grant can be found through the PKC Welfare Rights (Free School Meals and Clothing Grants).

If the colour required is not listed, please selected “Other” and type the details in to the box that appears. Your colour selections are a preference, and we will provide any colours your school accepts as uniform in order to ensure we can meet the demand of the project.

Please note: preloved footwear will be provided as first choice, new shoes will only be provided if they are donated. If you are unhappy with receiving second-hand shoes please do not select footwear for this project as we cannot guarantee new shoes.

Please arrange a visit to Clarks, or another footwear company to confirm your child’s shoe size before submitting your application. If you input a junior half size we may include the next size up to ensure you receive footwear.

Additional Extras

Sometimes we get donations for additional items we would like to include in packs. Please let us know your preference for what we can include. Please note these are subject to availability and although we will try to include your first choice we may not be able to.

Voucher Preferences

We may be able to provide vouchers as a substitute for missing items. Please note: Voucher amount will vary depending on child’s needs so may not cover the full cost of the missing item but will contribute to the cost. Vouchers will be utilised after our stock, new donations and purchases.
